Market Recap 11-3-14

New daily post we are starting today is a look at the domain related companies that trade publicly. Some like the domain business but might not be good at or have the time to buy and sell domains, investing in publicly traded companies provide an alternative route to participate in the business of domaining.

Rightside was the big loser down over 6 % on the day.

Tucows was up close to 2 % and hit $16.00 on the day before falling back a bit toward the close.

For those not familiar with United Internet they are the company that owns 1 & 1 and Sedo along with several other properties.

Tucows  up 1.74% TCX Nasdaq  Close $15.82
Verisign  down 0.33% VRSN Nasdaq  Close $59.56
Neustar  up 0.49% NSR NYSE  Close $26.50
United Internet  up 1.06% UTDI German XETRA  Close 31.53 €

    Interesting topic. If it’s not too much extra work, it might be good to include % change over a longer timeframe, maybe 1 week, 6 weeks, and 52 weeks.

    Also, I’ve found TablePress is good for easily transferring spreadsheet data in to WP. It makes tables sortable for readers.

      Well sure for the most part so do I and you are a pro Konstantinos I’m saying I know that some people like to use certain investments as a hedge.I’ve always had some friends who said hey I don’t got the time for that but I do find domaining interesting is there anyway I can participate ? So I’ve always thought Verisign is a good is a good proxy for com/net. I think go daddy will be a good proxy.
