Another blockbuster .tv sale uncovered by Ammar from Legacy Fund as he has confirmed Live.tv was sold for $500,000. This is certainly the biggest .tv sale that will be reported.
I have been alluding that there would be some major news about .tv in my last posts. Cybertavern has informed me that they have sold Live.tv for $500,000. The new owner could have been leasing the domain name for a while. Premium renewal fee seems to be $25-50/yr.
FCI Inc out of Seattle, Washington seems to be the new buyer. Doing some research on the current DNS servers of FlyingCroc.net, you will see the company , is ICF Technology, which their root domain is ICFTechnology.com. You can learn more about them by visiting their URL.
Regarding the actual sale, Cybertavern has agreed to help provide documentation to Ron at DN Journal. Ron has been out of town, but we working to get this on the board.
I appreciate all the effort and am grateful to Ted of Cybertavern for providing to show more transparency and disclose this massive sale.
Kind Regards,
A
In an interview with Igal back in 2011 he mentioned Live.tv specifically.
Q7) What do you think about leasing .tv names to entities not sold on the extension ?
Igal: I do it and it works. I leased Football.tv for a long time and then we got the name back, its now currently going to be leased again to another party.
Live.tv is another name we are now leasing, before the lease the name got hundreds of uniques a day. (Editors note NSFW). There is money in leasing if you have good names.
Congrats to buyer and seller.
I have seen many .tv site sold on and its feels sometime really amazing that why people are selling there source of income when they need to make an other and do the same work to get it visible again.
