It was in an email conversation with Elliot Silver last year that I first expressed my interest to rebrand. I did not know at the time Elliot was planning one of the best rebrands in the online space, with an absolutely perfect name. I was glad for him as he made what I felt was a very smart move to brand for the future. I am not rebranding with the same quality name as Mr. Silver, but I have finally gotten around to doing something that should have been done a long time ago, HybridDomainer.com has been rebranded to TLDInvestors.com.
When I first started writing this blog back in 2010, I did not know that writing would become a full time job, I had been writing about .tv from 2005 to 2010 and felt it was time to write about a wider array of topics. I kept coming back to the term hybrid as I felt a lot of small to mid size domainers did not just make their money from selling good domains. I knew a lot of guys that made a little with parking, made a few domainer to domainer sales, developed some mini sites, and had the occasional end user sale. They had to do a bunch of things to make things work.
The other thing I did not know back in 2010 was that I would end up writing almost around the clock and writing for other publications besides my own. As the proliferation of writing jobs grew, I grew to dislike the name Hybrid Domainer and the restrictions of Typepad.
I was just too busy to look into the migration and was really not thrilled to do it even when I had the time. It just became time as I did not like the direction the blog was going in relation to the name. The topics that I initially covered on Hybrid Domainer, I started writing about on TheDomains.com. I really wanted to get this blog back to buying and selling, domain sale statistics and research and tools to help with the buying and selling.
So now the name matches the topic that this blog will focus on, and the migration was simple thanks to Andrea from NutsandBoltsMedia.com. She has just been incredible with the turnaround time and her patience dealing with a hyper idiot such as myself.
There will be a logo, that is just a placeholder for now, as I told my friend in Australia who is designing it, that the end of the week was fine. Due to some issues with Typepad over the last few days, I could not wait for that.
I want to thank all the people who called, emailed, texted, that the blog was down or asked that I was ok. Much appreciated. Thank you for reading Hybrid Domainer and I hope you will continue to read TLDInvestors.com.
There will be some new features added and some new content categories.

Thank you guys for the kind words and taking the time to read.
Congrats on the redesign and better domain name for the blog Raymond. It blows my mind you do so much writing about domains. I’d probably go crazy writing about the same topic so much everyday.
