March 25, 2014 by Raymond Hackney

By: Raymond Hackney

Uniregistry (an advertiser) has put together their first commercial that shows two registrants finding their way to a new Uniregistry domain.

The commercial depicts two registrants who have a terrible web presence and get a short, intuitive domain that conveys the message they want to convey.

Domains are seen as a vague area of business as it is. I don’t think this makes anything clearer. The message (if there was one) was lost with too much character detail. The ‘What is it?’ ‘What does it do?’ and ‘Why do I need it?’ should be more simple and very, very clear. Stupid clear. BUT, it’s going in the right direction and anything… at all… that attempts to clarify domains is a bonus!
