Hayley Ringle from Phoenix Business Journal sat down with Irving Blake, CEO of Go Daddy. She actually took a tour of the offices and then asked Mr. Irving some questions about strategy and his plans for growing the company.
From the article:
4. Build a global business footprint.
GoDaddy has offices in Hyderabad, India; Amsterdam; and Singapore,
but building websites in those countries is a big goal for the company,
he said. GoDaddy’s current sites are available only in English and
“Spanglish.”
“We will be rolling out the websites in various languages at the end
of next year,” said Irving, adding the plan will be rolled out within 18
to 24 months. “We’re planning for 30 languages in 60 markets.”Once certain international markets grow and regional opportunities
come online, offices will be opened up in the area, with certain depth
markets expected in Mexico, Brazil and the United Kingdom. The plan is to build a common user experience end-to-end, no matter
the country. “We will be striving for a consistent design language,” he
said.
I think it will be interesting to see how Go Daddy can grow around the world. Will they will be as successful with creating content in languages of the local markets ?
