How did they get to auction this domain name ? That will be some commission for Go Daddy. Will end users know its for sale, it could go for $10m.

    Raymond
E.com is a reserved domain its not available unless Verisign makes it available in the future and pretty sure if they do its won’t be on ebay.
If you looking for a one letter .com story check out z.com the biggest waste of a domain in the history of domains

Mike I know its reserved, I guess Verisign arranged the auction ?

E.com is not available. This auction is bogus.
Single letter .COM, outside the (3) grandfathered ones (Q,X,Z), are reserved by the IANA. Verisign would not be able to just release these on their own without approval from the IANA.
If single letter .COM are ever released again it would be a very contentious process, and certainly have more notice than just listing a domain on GoDaddy auction without notice.
The fact this domain was listed is a poor reflection on GoDaddy and their verification system.
    Brad

Yeah it makes for an interesting Tuesday as people on Twitter are thinking of selling homes and pooling money together. Brad did you see B.com $40,000 buy it now ?
