Go Daddy Changes Auction Extension Time Again

April 16, 2013 by Raymond Hackney

By: Raymond Hackney

Yesterday we covered some changes to Go Daddy Auctions.

After a lot of people voicing their displeasure with Go Daddy extending auctions by 10 minutes, the auction site seems to be running today off of a 5 minute extension.  Paul Nicks confirmed with me that they moved it back to 5 minutes this morning.

I think this is a tricky spot for Go Daddy where their core auction users love 2 minutes and those who get busy at their job would like more than 2 minutes.

Of course Go Daddy ran .info and .org auctions that extended by one hour. So for now its 5 minutes.

Which do you prefer 2,5 or 10 ?

Thanks for staying on top of this…5 minutes sounds right.

Im on there everyday. 10 minutes was ridiculous. Should never have changed. It wasn’t a change to improve User experience.
