What Is Buff Domains?
Buff Domains is a website that allows people to browse and search
domains that are in pending delete status (domains that are about to
become expired and available for registration again).
How Does The Site Generate Revenue?
When a visitor sees a domain that they are interested in they can
click on the "ORDER" button to backorder the domain which is an
affiliate link for GoDaddy on the Commission Junction affiliate program.
The site also lists domains that have past the deletion point and
shows them as "potential expired" domains with an option to "CHECK" the
domain to see if it's still available to register which also goes
through the GoDaddy affiliate link earning a commission on the
registration of the dropped domain.
How Do You Promote The Website?
The site gets it's traffic from organic search results. I've never
used any other promotional methods and never paid for any advertising
for it.
Where Does The Site Get The Domains From?
The site gets the domains from an expiring domains source and
downloads them into a MySQL database. The script gets a fresh list each
morning.
