Domain Investing Stats and Tips

So Which One Is The Largest ?

January 12, 2013 by Raymond Hackney

So I had a consulting client say that he thought he might like to advertise on a domain forum. I sent him the links to the media kit for Namepros and DnForum.com.

He emailed me back and said, "Which one is the largerst ?,they both claim to be the largest.

When you click advertise on Namepros you get:

About NamePros

NamePros is the largest and most active forum for domain name
owners on the Internet. Our site features several original interactive services,
as well as a vibrant marketplace for buying and selling of domain names,
web hosting, web design and developed websites. If you're looking to reach a wide
range of domain name owners, web developers and webmasters, there's no better
place than NamePros.

NamePros was founded February 2003.
Over 197,533 registered members and growing every day.
The largest database of domain discussion on the web, with 4,258,802 posts and 733,559 threads archived.

When you click Dn Forum you get:

Dnforum.com is the largest professional Domain Community discussion
forum on the internet. Launched in 2001, Dnforum.com contains over
1,400,000 posts and over 75,000 active registered members making it the
leader in domain discussion boards. Dnforum.com is built on a
professional foundation having the most targeted domain enthusiasts in
the industry as well as day to day successful business transactions.
Dnforum.com contains a wealth of domain related information and feedback
for those seeking information on general domain questions. Dnforum
receives approximately 80 million hits a month, an average of 2.4
million hits a day

By sheer posts then Namepros is larger, now DNF uses the distinction "largest Professional Domain Community"

I told the client they were both excellent forums but the price was more than he wanted to pay, the 728 x 90 at the top of each site was certainly priced as if DNF was the largest.

DNF price for that ad placement is $7000 monthly

Namepros for the same ad placement is $3000 monthly

The client felt that both were too expensive for his budget and decided not to advertise.

Go buy/get the exact keyword domain name with Google page one….then, you don’t need to advertise anything…..
