The ability to access the Internet and use social media means more to some young professionals than you would think. Even in the current tough job market there are some who would give up some salary for access to social media. In fact, over 25% of people polled, said that a companies existing
social media usage policy would impact their decision to take a job with
that company or not.
KairayMedia put together this infographic and some of the numbers are very interesting. 1in 3 college students viewed the Internet as important as Air,Water,Food and Shelter.
People spend so much time on Facebook that it becomes really important for keeping in touch with friends. Now that tablet sales are soaring, I expect this to increase. Think about what a day without the internet would be like. Most people simply would freak out!
