Two names on Go Daddy Auctions seem to have gone off the track on the way to Crazy Town.
AsianBank.com is currently at $99,999, the 16 year old domain that Go Daddy values at $39, has 101 bids from 21 bidders.
CJF.com is currently at $77,777. with 13 bidders making 77 bids.
If these bids are not legit this is not good as it takes away from legitimate bidders interested in the domain. Auction houses need to have something in place to prevent this. You cannot go to Sothebys.com and bid $500,000,000 for a Picasso.
Auction houses need better systems in place for when there are crazy bids that most likely will not be honored.
Maybe they pumping up the price and then contact bidders and hope that somone pays more than 32e
GoDaddy auctions is the damn Wild West of scoring domains.
They just need to tighten up a bit imo….
we’re on it.

Here we go again.
Thanks Paul.
CJF is mine and I’m not pleased that my auction was hijacked by these bidders. There appeared to be some real bidders up to the reserve and then it went bonkers.
I hope Godaddy takes care of it quickly or I would even be happy to have them strike the bids that they feel are not legitimate while the auction still has several days left.
I don’t get why somebody would spend $4.99 on an account at TDNAM to do this knowing their account is going to be closed when they don’t pay.
Update from GD:
Dear Sir/Madam,
We attempted to reach you by phone, but we were not able to reach you. There were bids placed on the domain CJF.com you have listed for sale. We were not able to verify those bidders and they have been canceled. You may continue to let the auction run its course or we can cancel the auction at your request.
Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.
Regards,
GoDaddy Aftermarket Support
Thank you Chris for taking the time to comment here. Best of luck with the auction.
