Domain Investing Stats and Tips

Start a little project to keep yourself sane

When you read about some of the bigger domainers getting x amount of offers every day, it can become frustrating when you get no offers for weeks. You have to remember that most of the time they own tens of thousands of domains, or they own some of the top domains you can possibly own.

If you own 300 to 500 domains and these are not top quality .coms then you are not getting offers everyday. There are a lot of new domainers that do not want to actively sell, they just want to list and wait for the offers to come in. That's fine everyone has different selling abilities and time availability.

So as not to drive yourself crazy obsessing over offers, start something to keep your mind off your portfolio. Like a lot of other things in life it just seems to work out that when you are not forcing it, results come your way.

So start a little blog about a topic you really like and have knowledge in. Maybe its a forum or even a small one product niche ecommerce site. While you focus on your new little project, you will not be obsessing over a lack of offers on your domain portfolio.

Its just an idea best of luck to everyone.

I remember when I was starting out, seeing all these domainers boast of REJECTING $5k offers on a daily basis was thoroughly discouraging. I mean, here I was sitting with what I thought were *quality* domains (how the newbie stumbles!) and not being to sell for even $50, let alone $5k.
Success comes, eventually. Patience and hard work are two ingredients to succeed in this industry. Never lose sight of the fact that the biggest domainers started out small.
