Sedo this morning has posted the sale of LandmarkGroup.com for $50,000.
The domain was registered in 2000 at Network Solutions.
Whois showing Sedo Transfer.
LandmarkGroup.net is registered and could be the company on .net upgrading to the .com.
The company using the .net is Landmark Check Services. They cater to the gaming and casino industry providing real time data, which on their website they say increases profitability.
Someone else in seeing the sale just registered the .info which had dropped and became available for registration.

If the .net owners bought it, it was a great buy for them being an established company in the gaming/casino market. It gives them more credibility when soliciting business and I’m sure some traffic meant for them was lost to the .com.
You can imagine how annoying it must be for companies who run on .net domains to hear “what is your website again, xxxxxxxxx .com – oh, it isn’t? it’s .net?” Gives you a second-class type feeling.
