The Financial times did an article on the auction of single letter .co.uk names. The most heated auction was for G.co.uk according to the story.
"But in the highest-priced auction, Google was outbid for the rights to g.co.uk by Any-Web, a company which collects, builds and resells domain names and is believed to be the auction’s biggest spender."

So Google supposedly paid 7 figures for G.co and got outbid by a far smaller company for G.co.uk ?
Guess the .co supporters will cheer for that.
who cares about a .co.uk..
.co the new king.. just follow the money.
The likelihood that Google paid anything for g.co is low in my view.
I believe that Snoopy may have hit the proverbial nail on the head. If they did pay it was less than the seven-figures. I don’t believe that anyone actually disclosed the final figure.
I personally love the .co and have PR1 above the .co.uk so ill stick with them i think they are going to be around for some time
