Hopper.com has just shown up on the Sedo sales list. $50,000.
The buyer is a company called Hopper that has been in stealth mode for a little while.
Hopper, a Montreal, Canada-based startup, has raised $8 million in fresh funding from Atlas Venture and previous backer Brightspark Ventures to try and ‘reinvent travel search’.
So it looks like with the new funds they upgraded their domain. The company was using Hopper.to and Hopper.travel.
TechCrunch wrote an article on them two weeks ago. http://techcrunch.com/2011/08/22/former-expedia-employees-raise-8-million-for-travel-search-startup-hopper/
Another $50,000 sale on Sedo was FindInsurance.com for $50,500.

oooooooooooooooooooh… hopper.to
that’s the best domain name ever.
it makes way more sense than hopper.com.
sometimes bidnessmen just plain be stoopid.
It seems that domain buyers and end users are still coveting the .com, even with all the potential new gtlds that are supposed to be coming. That tells you something.
Findinsurance.com sells for 50,000.
It seems that you are the only one out of all the domain blogs reporting this sale. Great Job. Insurance domains are selling for 5 and 6 figures all the time time NDA. This is just the start. Great Job
