Dr. Chris Hartnett turned down $250,000 for StockMarket.tv in 2007

July 22, 2011 by Raymond Hackney

We get to hear what the big .com guys turn down all the time.  Berkens through WWMI.com, Schilling at DomainNameSales and Schwartz at Ricksblog.com.

In an interview at Allthings.tv, Dr. Chris Hartnett a long time domainer and someone with an incredible story, told Ammar that he turned down $250,000 for StockMarket.tv in 2007. He also turned down $85,000 for Guru.tv and $35,000 for Buddha.tv.

The whole interview is worth a read.  http://www.allthings.tv/forum/showthread.php?p=110428#post110428

You can also read the interview he did in June of 2008 with DN Journal http://dnjournal.com/cover/2008/june.htm

Thankyou for that enlightening input Snoopy.
At least have the decency to add IMO , because that is all it is, your opinion, which by the way means absolutely nothing IMO.
Nice interview, fair play to him turning those offers down, i wouldn’t have, but whatever works for him

I would have sold – sold – sold.
But Hartnett has more experience than me in domains, so hopefully he made the right choice. 2007 is generally a year that saw some peak prices and activity in the domain market. I’d think it would be hard to get those prices for the same domains today.

I agree. 2007 was a better market and we should have sold, but please don’t say it too loud or the next buyer might hear. 🙂
    Good luck to all.
    Chris Hartnett
