Sydney Morning Herald asks “Do we need a XXX porn domain ?”

In an article published today the Australian newspaper wonders why there will be a .xxx extension.

From the article: So who has been driving the push to introduce .XXX? ICM Registry – the company that will make a fortune by selling .XXX domains to existing porn sites such as RudeStuff.com. They will pay extra for RudeStuff.xxx to ensure that someone else doesn’t snap it up. ICM Registry has managed to launch a new online land rush, a rush for land that nobody even wants.

    Sydney Morning Herald and many others do not get it – they are old fashioned.
    .xxx domain names will be a hit for Company’s and individuals alike.
