Over the past few weeks there have been those on the other side of the Godaddy coin. That moving domains based on what someone who runs the company is bad for business and purely emotional. Their opinion and certainly entitled to it. But its their individual opinion, not universal advice.
First off money is not everyone's God, there are many that place a lot of things above money. You never know how people feel, you can only speak for yourself. I live in a big city top 10 US. I have watched people not give one penny to a hungry person, but put their life in danger to feed a hungry cat. Their choice, everyone is different. I think I can tell the difference when someone is really out of their realm and truly in need and when they are just conning you, I give someone change or $1 just about every day no big deal. I go out on a date and the woman I am with cannot fathom me giving money to someone on the street. "Let them get a job." But if it were a hungry dog ? She would empty her wallet.
A domain registration is not that complicated and if you are not a professional domainer, moving a few names is no big deal. The people leaving Go Daddy are not putting their business in peril for an emotional reason. I am pretty sure a business owner is not going home saying "Honey do you know how we think animal cruelty is intolerable ? Well I moved our two domains to Name.com and they cost us $1.40 more than Godaddy with a coupon so no Christmas this year."
Either you truly believe in your positions in life or you are just a wishy washy troll. Getting away from a company that you despise their behavior is not emotional, its the right thing to do in my opinion.
Spot on mate.
Elliot is a moron
Amen brother !
Good Post. Agree 100%
I personally don’t think Elliot is a moron, but like the author here said its a personal decision.
Couldn’t have said it any better Ray.
Agree 100% and you’re spot on.
