Brand Bucket is rolling out a new product offering. The service is being called Name My Company. “We’re bringing crowdsourcing to the naming industry, allowing entrepreneurs to describe their startup and recieve name suggestions from our community.”
Now there is competition in this arena and some sites will actually pay the participant who picks the name the company chooses.
The email that Brand Bucket sent out said the following:
Request A Name
By writing a well rounded professional description and submitting it to our site, you can solicit the help of others absolutely free!
Everyone can suggest names! You can help other startups looking to name their business find their perfect match and pay it forward.
This should be interesting and may not go over well with those who list their names on Brand Bucket, I am sure they want someone to buy their name, not have a start up take a suggestion from the crowd.
***Update*** unlike other crowd source naming services (that don’t have a marketplace) only names listed on Brand Bucket can be suggested, so that is a win for members.
