Health.org was climbing the charts at $153,000 on Go Daddy Auctions, but it now looks as the domain was renewed by SAMHSA or Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. This is a government agency and they received many phone calls from domainers trying to buy the name or just make sure that Go Daddy did not receive a six figure windfall.
Health.org is certainly one of the best .org names there is and at least for another year it will stay with SAMHSA.
It was to be expected. Such domains – owned by institutions – don’t just drop.
Don’t underestimate the “camaraderie” of domain investors who might have wanted to ruin it for others.
MentalHealth.org got away from the same institution.
I think its a 7 figures Domain. I’d be curious to hear what others think.
