Earlier in the week we reported that a Namepros member sold Booking.mobi and Bookings.mobi for $15,000 in total. The whois updated and Booking.com owned by Priceline is the buyer.
It would have been strange if anyone else purchased the names but you never know. Currently the names still show a Flippa sales page.
The domains were registered in 2006, so with all the negativity around .mobi for several years, the owner stuck to his gut and renewed year in and year out.

Not sure if I’m right but Couldn’t they have done a udrp on this?
I doubt it. It is not a TM term to generic, 1000s of websites that have booking in the name, just like hotels no TM can be acquired. It would of costed 10-20k to put together a udrp a waste of time for a company like that. I could be wrong on the TM any thoughts?
.mobi is make major comeback, I,m seeing a trend for these being used on the mobile phone as an extension since mobile search already exceeds desktop.
I saw this sale in Namepros, it’s an awesome sale! Congrats to the seller.
I had a feeling it was going to the .com version. It only makes sense that the company has all extensions of its brand. Also, this shouldn’t be a TRADEMARK issue because it could be argued successfully that the term “bookings” is generic.
Great sale! Especially for a .Mobi extension
