Words have meaning and knowing those meanings is fundamental to getting by in life and hopefully having a happy life.
Like there is hate speech, that’s very true. Some however think that anything they don’t want to hear is hate speech, that’s not true.
Some people engage in cybersquatting. Cybersquatting is the practice of registering, trafficking in, or using an Internet domain name, with a bad faith intent to profit from the goodwill of a trademark belonging to someone else. It even has it’s own Wikipedia page. Someone owning a generic term that does not infringe on the goodwill of a trademark is not cybersquatting.
I have interviewed Brad Mugford twice, Brad is not a cybersquatter.
I came across a post on X that Brad Mugford published with regards to an offer on a domain name registered in 1995. A generic term, not a trademark infringing name. Brad gets what everyone wants, an offer. Somehow I don’t think the $200K was a legit offer.
