From .com to .io another company rebrands to a shorter .io but was it the smart move? Finding the right brand can be tricky.
Lately we have seen some moves to short .co and .io. Following in the footsteps of Supply.co, Playbuzz a company that helps publishers add tools to their articles like polls is rebranding to EX.co.
Now Agentology.com has changed names to Verse.io.
Agentology, a conversation enablement platform that revolutionized lead engagement for real estate, today announced the business’ rebrand to Verse.io.
Inspired by empowering businesses to converse more effectively and authentically with their prospects, the new Verse.io brand epitomizes conversation and conversion.

Having established companies moving to alternative domain extensions is good news for the domain industry.
One of the reasons why some of these companies make a move to another domain extension may be that they got a handsome monetary offer for their current .COM domain name from another company, which is a good enough incentive for the move.
I would argue that PWA (progressive web applications) will have a diminishing effect on the value of expensive .COM domains, as mobile users will access such websites directly through their respective app.
Also, PWA will make less-popular domain extensions with high namespace availability much more appealing.

one word cctlds are a great alt to two word dotcoms.
GTLDS suck !!!

That’s not a two-word .com. That’s a made-up .com based on a real word and a suffix.
And your second opinion is biased and lacks professionalism, in my opinion.

They’ve made the same mistake twice (awful domain choice). You’d think they’d outsource this after the first time.
What is next, move to a new tld?
