We are talking with Andee Hill today CEO of EscrowHill.com
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us Andee.
1) The first question is one I have been asked a lot from fellow domainers, Why would I do business with Escrow Hill ? I already have an Escrow.com account and they have been great.
Andee Hill – An escrow company is about security and service. Users need to know that their funds are held and protected in a secure manner and they need to get great service from the escrow provider. The first part is not easy, but once the accounts, license and process are all established, the funds are safe as long as the escrow provider follows safe practices.
The service part can be more difficult. EscrowHill.com has a team of individuals that know how to provide safe, secure, and excellent services. We know the business and the domain industry. We do not provide services to other industries and we do not provide services other than escrow. Domain name and website escrow is what we do.
We provide these services with the upmost integrity and we provide them at a lower fee than competitors. I am confident that if you give EscrowHill a try, you will be happy with our services.
2) Are there services that Escrow Hill will provide to the domaining community that are unique to Escrow Hill ?
Andee Hill – Yes! We will offer a premium escrow where we take possession of the domain during the transaction so that the seller does not have to wait for the buyer to confirm an inspection period. We will also offer completely anonymous transactions where a buyer, seller or broker identity can be forever hidden from the other party in the transaction. We also handle transactions in any major currency with lowest fees and wire costs.
3) If I should have a problem with a transaction, in what jurisdiction will the matter be handled ?
Andee Hill – As a New Zealand company, the jurisdiction is NZ. However, as with most other online escrow companies, the online dispute resolution process is handled through online arbitrators almost eliminating the need to travel and expensive legal costs.
4) Tell us about your team at Escrow Hill ?
Andee Hill – Our team includes a very experienced staff. No one understands online escrow better than us.
5) Are there places where you cannot do business, i.e. certain countries ?
Andee Hill – As a NZ based company EscrowHill.com can transact business in any country.
6) What payment types do you accept ? What are the thresholds for each payment type ?
Andee Hill – We accept wire transfers of any amount and in any major currency. We will also be offering users additional payment methods following a customer verification process.
Thank you very much Andee

I don’t sell million dollar domains but if I did I would want to be protected 100% by U.S. law. This in my opinion is a major flaw with this company.
I like the premium option where this escrow firm takes possession of the domain name during the transaction. IMO this is a very big plus.
I agree with the first two comments.
I will only do escrow business with a US based 100% bonded company.
And if that US company can take possession of the domains regardless of most 60 restrictions then that company will be #1 in due time.
Just was reading up on this company’s website and there’s a couple things that strike me odd.
1) For whatever reason they don’t do business in California.
2) Their disclaimer is very sketchy and they refer their transactions to a location in New Zealand.
I’ll pass on these guys for my online transactions.
Escrowhill.com is not licensed to do business everywhere. They are registered as a Financial Service Provider in NZ. So far Texas and California have caught up with them and banned them from doing business in those states. Your money is held in New Zealand. Do you know who has access to it? It might surprise you! The is NO international escrow license.
