Blake Irving was profiled on GloriaFeldt.com. Gloria Feldt is co-founder and president of Take The Lead, the new women’s leadership movement to prepare, develop, inspire and propel women to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025.
The article focused on how Go Daddy and Irving have strived to promote women in the company and change the culture from bikinis to bongos.
Feldt starts out talking about how she was not too thrilled with the Go Daddy that existed under Bob Parsons and how Irving is a complete 180 from the Go Daddy founder.
Irving talks about his views being shaped by the women throughtout his life, Feldt mentions that when talking to Irving he is careful not to take any cheap shots at Parsons or disparage him in anyway.
From the article:
One of the first things he observed is that women, lo and behold, had become GoDaddy’s core customer. “We conducted extensive customer research and found that 58% of our customers are women. Women own half of the businesses in the US, and globally, women are the primary business owners,” said Irving. “The values inside the company didn’t square with the ads that were in the marketplace.”
Certainly Go Daddy has changed since Blake Irving has taken over as CEO, he has been focused on small business and making the company more woman friendly as this article illustrates.
