Domain Agents did a blog post to go into a bit of detail on just what a negotiation platform is. Domain Agents is an advertiser here and I have had a few people ask what exactly do they mean by negotiation platform ?
DomainAgents is a negotiation platform, but if you’re new to the site or have never used it, you may be wondering: well what does that mean?
DomainAgents is a neutral place where buyers and sellers can negotiate securely and privately. They can trade as many counter offers to reach a deal as they need to and our staff acts as a liaison if either party needs any help. If the one party stops responding, we’ll work to re-engage them in the negotiation. Once an agreement is reached, we help make sure the escrow and transfer process is as smooth as possible.
Buyers come to us and buy a credit to engage our services and use the platform, so in some ways we act as a domain buyer brokerage, but we allow the buyer and seller to negotiate directly. We share part of the credit revenue with the seller if they make a counter, so they are compensated for their time. That’s part of how we guarantee that we will present the buyer’s offer to the owner. You can’t reach a deal if you can’t get both parties to the table after all.
The goal of the negotiation platform is to make the process work for both buyers and sellers. We’ve helped tens of thousands of buyers and sellers with millions of dollars of domain transactions. We’ve built, tested, and rebuilt the platform to deliver the best domain negotiating experience possible.

A buyer used Domain Agents to buy domain name from me a couple weeks ago.
I was first asked to log into Payoneer to complete the transaction through my Domain Agents account, but their system would not let me log into Payoneer. It kept saying username and password error.
Then I received an email about an hour later, saying that the transaction was being brokered through Escrow.com?!
It was like the process was automated once I accepted the offer for the domain.
The transaction could of been smoother. There was very little communication as well.

Hi Mark,
Some incomplete Payoneer code we were testing had been pushed and was on the site for a couple of hours. Sorry for the confusion.

I completed my first sale on Domain Agents a few weeks ago as well. I was shocked to wake up one day with an email from Domain Agents saying that a buyer made an offer through the platform.
I had never used Domain Agents before and I actually almost missed the email completely. I was about to delete it, when I happened to read the subject.
I was then made to sign up for a Domain Agents account, where I was allowed to counter-offer or accept the offer.
Once I accepted an offer, everything was smooth sailing. I received an email from Escrow.com indicating that an escrow transaction was started. Since Domain Agents gives you access to all the necessary info for the buyer, the buyer and I emailed each other about the domain transfer. And that’s that. Done!
I actually liked what I saw at Domain Agents and have since listed a number of my domains on their marketplace.
