Namepros member JB Lions started a favorite registrar poll on Namepros and Go Daddy is running away from the field. There are 70+ posts in the the thread and it is very interesting to see how what matters most varies from domainer to domainer. Interface vs Cost vs Marketplace etc…
With 290 votes Go Daddy has 84 or 46.4%, number two was surprising to me, NameSilo has 45 votes or 24.9%. No surprise registrars like Network Solutions and Register.com got 0 votes. I was surprised Fabulous only has 7 votes.
I would say the thread is well worth a read for those working for a registrar, a good way to see what people like and don’t like about you.

Name.com is my pick since they have a clean UI. Good for a wide range of people but it would be nice if support was more prompt. Renewals for the discount club have just been hiked to $9.99 so I’ll have to think about them.
Dynadot is good too, but only for professionals. I doubt many would suggest Dynadot to family members or friends that have one or a few domains.
GD can take awhile for DNS updates and I do not like the UI or upsells. No major issues I just don’t like the whole platform as I find it confusing.
I could go on on probably. What is your favorite registrar(s) Raymond?
Raymond Hackney says
I would say Go Daddy, Name.com and Uniregistry.
I also like Dynadot and Fabulous.
I think Go Daddy is #1 for a lot of reasons, but number one might just be it is where a lot of end users want their name pushed. I have had deals where the client said Go Daddy or forget the deal.

A lot of people don’t understand what a transfer is or how to do it. I’m talking about even so called “tech savvy” people and web devs. A lot get confused even by a push, so yeah I can understand why some people use GD even if they don’t like them.

This article must have brought a ton of votes. Godaddy is now at 140 votes. Well done Raymond.

1) GD
2) Namebright
3)Dynadot

I personally love Godaddy but my second vote would go to namebright. Namebright is easy to use, cheap and blazingly fast.

Godaddy is my number one choice and next would be Name.com and nothing else. ‘I’m more comfortable working on both. I’ve tried the other but didn’t like the UI.
