Shane Bellone proposed an idea on Namepros about domainers paying for a daily domain list.
Shane is going to list 250 domains daily and promises they will be of high quality.
Currently the vote is 18 Yes and 48 no. Shane points out a value by not having to pay for subscriptions as he gets them all and the amount of time saved.
The fee would be $20 monthly with a free 7 day trial subscription.
The debate on both sides is interesting as some like the time saved and not having to pay for subscriptions to various sites.
Others do not like that anyone publishes lists because it drives up prices (That horse has left the barn in my opinion).

I get where he’s coming from he is not the first to propose it but how many people would pay ? I would not. But good luck to him.

I like the idea I may do it myself. Anyone can create a list. I pay for fresh drop, dropping.com all the horseshit.
$15 seems like a good price.

Anyone can create a list it is the consistency. Domain Shane has been consistent for years. We do Go Daddy for a year without missing. Consistency is the key.

Freshdrop – $20 a month
ExpiredDomains.net – Free
Same price, all the domains.

250 names is alot, but if he not taking the best ones that is fair.

Thanks Raymond for the mention. It makes no sense to pay for a domain list unless it is specific to some niche that the subscribers and the creator specializes in. I love the people that get mad over our lists because it drives up prices. I take it as a compliment each time 🙂

The problem is that in the domaining industry there are a lot of blind followers (usually domainer newbies who blindly trust the words of someone who is already active in the industry for a long time). Not saying your listings are bad but I’m sure that even if they were a lot of the listed names would still be purchased.
That’s one of the issues I have with these lists. They often do more harm than good to people with little experience (and people with a lot of experience usually won’t bother with lists since they can find the same, or better names, themselves).

I make my own private list every day and it works for me so I don’t need/want to pay for any list. I can imagine though that for starting domain investors a paid list like this can prove to be a valuable learning experience (basically to find out what an experienced domainer defines as “quality domains”).
Realistically though I don’t see how it’s possible to list 250 good domains per day. 25 sure. Maybe even 40 on a good day. But not 250. I assume that 90% of this daily list will be mediocre at best. But when an experienced domainer is listing 250 domains chances are that a lot of these mediocre domains will end up getting purchased as well ;).
