There was a story published on Australian based iTwire.com, they describe themselves as TWire is Australia’s most read independent technology news source. With 327,505 (Nielsen SiteCensus) visitors a month. iTWire has 70,000+ subscribers to it’s daily IT&T newsletter. Our readers are the top IT and Telecommunications people in Australia.
The article was titled, “The Dirty World of Domain Trading” it spoke of insider deals on Australian based Netfleet.com.au. Ned O’Meara has alleged that Netfleet is dealing in insider trading, breaching customer privacy, and misleading customers.
Another domain registrant talks about buying a domain name which was cancelled by the Australian governing domain body, (the AuDa) apparently it was a misspelling of a brand name. When the buyer asked for a refund he apparently was told by Netfleet that they could not refund it because they were charged for the registration.

Hi Raymond,
Thanks for picking up on this story, which first broke on domainer.com.au. You can see our original article on this here: http://www.domainer.com.au/open-letter-to-netfleet/
As you can see from the comments, this is attracting significant interest from across the Australian domain industry, particularly from domain investors who are furious about the activities that have been taking place.

Sounded like a beat up anyway. One guy missed winning a domain name because the auction house sold it to someone else for more. Meh… itwire got sucked in by conspiracy theories then realised
Joseph Peterson says
@Lachlan,
So if a company promising sealed-bid auctions is simultaneously looking at “sealed” bid information to entice non-bidders to outbid their bidding customers … you see nothing wrong with that?
Everybody who points out problems is a “conspiracy theorist” apparently!

Haha ha! That is quite unetical, why should netfleet doing this kind of rubish; that is advanced free froud from a very popular domain company. Wonder shall never end.
Robert Kaay says
You sound like you’re one of the wives from one of the Netfleet guys, Lachlan (your real name, right?)
Try to water it down all you like, that is not what happened at all.
The FACTS are there is Double-Dipping and Inside Trading going on over at Netfleet (with PROOF) and the next few days will expose even more shady activities.
Nice try though.

Who and what pressured ITwire to pull down the article?
SoFreeDomains says
This calls for proper investigation in order to bring to book those who want to discredit the domaining business.
