Neustar (NSR) was down big today, over 11% and was down a lot more earlier in the day. The stock closed at $22.25 but traded as low as $20.32 on the news that the FCC has recommended that Telcordia receive the contract for a telephone numbers management deal.
Neustar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR) shares were slammed Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, Neustar is set to lose a telephone-numbers management contract under a recommendation by the FCC bureau. The Wireline Competition Bureau recommends the FCC vote for awarding the contract to Telcordia, a unit of Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), said the news agency, citing a fact sheet sent via email.
