A look at Country Code Sales in 2014
It was the year of .cn when it came to country code sales in 2014. The .cn extension took 7 out of the top 10 sales in 2014, including the top 3. In contrast .cn only had two entries in the 2013 top 100.
There was one big sale that I know of that was not reported to Ron/Dn Journal and that was the .se registry selling TV.se. That domain was auctioned on the Swedish ebay Tradera, and it sold for $288,162.
Much to the delight of Adam Dicker, a big investor in his homeland country code of Canada, the .ca extension had the second highest number of places in the top 100 for 2014. The Canadian country code placed 12 sales in the top 100.
The top 10 totaled more in cumulative sales in 2014 vs 2013. The top 10 in 2014 resulted in $1,971,656 vs $1,196,961 in 2013. $55,000 earned you a spot in the top 10 in 2013, in 2014 a $55,000 sale would come in at 21.
The two big dogs of country code sales throughout the years have been .de and .co.uk. The German country code placed 22 in the top 100 in 2014 vs 20 in 2013. The English country code saw a bit of a fall off only placing 8 in the top 100, its lowest showing ever. In 2013 .co.uk placed 3 sales in the top 10, in 2014 it did not get any higher than #30.
Disappointment of 2014 has to be .me, there was not one .me sale in the top 100 in 2014. The .me extension had 4 top 100 sales in 2013 with 3 of those in the top 56.

Awesome stats! .com and cctld’s are the best options for individuals and companies trying to reach consumers. IMO
Instant credibility.
