Viia.com owned by BestIdentity out of Denmark got a 45,000 Euro bid for the domain and pushed it to auction. There were no other bids and the auction closed at 45,000 Euros.
The domain was registered in 2001.
Its a big risk imo to push a domain to auction that does not have an easily identified list of other potential bidders.
Congrats to Best Identity on the sale.

Hefty price, but it is a very good name!

I agree if the offer is $60, or so….But, Euro 45,000 for Viia.com?….The seller likely was very happy to accept that price – and, only sent it to auction to see if – by chance – there was someone out there that might just offer more.
That’s a valid view to take on a good offer for a (with respect) an ordinary domain, imo

I think its a good idea to push name to the auction, its like free advertising for domain, Im sure buyer was happy for promotion.
