When I read that Republic.com sells for $200,000 or SilverCoins.com for $100,000, I understand. I get it.
But you never know what is going to sell and some will boggle the mind and make every domainer with better names sit and wonder.
Recent sales that fall into that category for me include:
CheapFlightToSydney.com $2500 Sedo Not the worst name but $2500 could probably buy a better name for that price.
copenhague-2009.com $1500 SEDO
Askyourdoctor.com $70,000 Nice call to action name, and a great sale price.
ANewWordOrder.com $22,000 Afternic, Great price for a play on words.
QVSO.com $3788 Afternic. You never know when you have a LLLL.com will you get $100 for what every domainer would consider bad letters in this category of domains ? Or get a great sale.
Sberbank.mobi $3808 SEDO. To hear some .mobi has no value, even a top keyword. But then you never know. How did someone pick the price of $3808 ? Great for the seller.
Keep reading and researching but know that a sale can come from anywhere.
Best of luck.
